CIOS Execution Model 🔄

This document explains how a request travels through the CIOS ecosystem.

The Path of an Intent

1. Ingress: A raw user intent arrives at cios-api.

2. Semantic Mapping: The API consults onto-protocol (via ontology.yaml) to understand the structure of the intent.

3. Compliance Check: The onto-compliance-engine verifies if the intent violates any active security or ethical policies.

4. Execution: Once cleared, the intent is sent to the chosen AI provider.

5. Auditing: A Trace is generated, ensuring that the business has a verifiable record of what happened, even if the AI provider later fails.
